When I first heard about the television programme LOST, I believed it would be of no interest to me - Who cares about a couple of people stranded on a desert island? But boy was I wrong. After constantly hearing people talk about this show, I decided to give it a go, I watched one episode entitled 'Numbers' and suddenly found myself sucked into the world of LOST... I could barely wait for the next episode. The only problem was, I hadn't seen any other episodes so I hadn't got a clue what was going on - I had to buy the DVD!
I bought the DVD and watched episode after episode, I was amazed. The good thing about watching them on DVD is that you don't have constant advert breaks unlike when it is shown on Channel 4. I found the series to just get better and better, and you never knew what to expect. The series does have a cliff hanger ending, which some people may be annoyed with, but I personally loved it.
LOST gives you the chance to find out about these survivors past and see how their actions from the past interlink with things that happen on the island, or why they do certain things. It is an amazing programme and so much more then a show about people stranded on an island. There is action, adventure, romance and mystery all rolled into one. Just watch the Pilot episode and I am sure you'll be hooked. This show is like nothing I have ever seen before, and owning it on DVD allows you to relive the experience over and over! Another good point about buying this DVD is all the awesome extras - It even has one DVD disc devoted to all the Bonus Features. The Bonus Features include:
- Audition Tapes - I found this interesting and even shows some characters auditioning to play different characters... pretty strange imagining them playing another character!
- Deleted Scenes - Most are not very interesting to be honest, and don't tell you much more, but they're still cool to watch.
- Outtakes/Bloopers - Funny!
- Commentaries by the cast
and much more including 'The Making Of' - Gives you a real insight into the making of the pilot, and some facts you may not have known. The DVDs Bonus Features are really good and much longer than I had expected too!
